Kate Middleton Suffers Wardrobe Malfunction Arriving In New Zealand

Kate Middleton Suffers Wardrobe Malfunction Arriving In New Zealand

Kate Middleton Wardrobe Malfunction

Oh no! A strong gust of wind blew Kate’s dress and coat right up, exposing her thighs and catching the Duchess off guard as she descended down the steps of the airplane with her adorable son in her arms — and this isn’t the first time Kate’s dress blew up on a royal tour! She gave us major déjà vu as the moment mirrored the time in 2011 when she practically flashed her entire backside.

We see London, we see France — we almost saw Kate Middleton‘s underpants! The Duchess clearly hasn’t learned from her infamous wardrobe malfunction from her first Royal Tour in 2011 — and although she’s a pro at dressing conservative and chic, the modest royal almost showed off way more than she bargained for as she made a grand entrance, coming off the plane at Wellington Airport in New Zealand on April 7 to kick off the three-week royal tour. Although she looked perfectly put together in her red ensemble, a strong burst of wind blew her coat wide open and her dress right up, putting her svelte legs, (and almost much more!), on full display!

Kate Middleton’s Wardrobe Malfunction:

Kate clearly wasn’t expecting it as she quickly put her hand out to smooth down her dress before it showed off anything else. Her face seemed shocked by the strong gust of wind, but she handled the incident like a pro — thank goodness! Although she selected a dress and coat with a modest neckline, she wound up showing off every inch of her svelte legs when the wind blew her dress right up. Now that’s one way to make a very memorable entrance.

Kate Middleton’s Royal Tour Arrival Outfit:

Despite the narrowly avoided malfunction, not a hair was out of place as Kate touched down in New Zealand. While most people would be tired after such a long flight, the royal family looked amazing — and we couldn’t get enough of Kate’s regal red outfit! For her arrival she selected a red pillar-box coat by Brit designer Catherine Walker. Walker was a favorite of Princess Diana‘s, and we think Kate paid homage to Prince William’s late mother in an amazing way. With her hair worn half-up, she polished off the look with a pillbox hat by Gina Foster and a diamond and platinum silver fern brooch from the Queen’s jewelry collection. The national symbol of New Zealand sparkled on her lapel and added to Kate’s great arrival look.
What do you think of Kate’s close call? Do you think it isn’t that big of a deal or should she try to wear something to prevent this from happening next time?
