‘I don’t want to waste this life’: American woman takes to Facebook to find her birth family
In fact, one American woman is hoping it will provide the answers to some life-long questions.
Tana Inskeep currently lives just north of San Francisco with her husband and two children, but that’s not where her story began.
The 36-year-old was actually born in Houston, Texas to a Hispanic mother and Caucasian father, and has a twin brother and two older sisters, but that’s all she knows.
Tana was put up for adoption shortly after she was born, and after spending years wondering about her biological family, she has finally decided to try and track them down.
She told Texan news station KHOU: ‘I’ve always kind of felt like the odd man out. I didn’t look like anybody and I’ve just always been curious.’
Tana’s first stop was the adoption agency, but when they could only provide basic information, she turned to Facebook.
She explained: ‘I think everybody wants to be known and to know where they came from and who they are.’
‘I don’t want to wait any longer. I’m ready to take a step be courageous and I don’t want to waste this life.’
