Chris Brown — you may be stuck in jail against your will, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t turn your time locked up, into a positive experience. As awful as it is, it’s giving you an opportunity to rethink your life and your outlook.
Chris Brown, you may be miserable in jail — – and no one can blame you for hating jail time. But instead of sitting in your cell and stewing, you need to look at this as a rare opportunity to think seriously about how you’ve lived your life, and why you need an attitude makeover.Chris Brown: Rehab In Jail — You Shouldn’t Waste Your Time Behind Bars
Chris, if you think that everyone else is to blame for your current situation, that’s exactly why you need to rethink your point of view. The only one responsible for you being in jail, is you. You’re the one who assaulted your then-girlfriend Rihanna in February, 2009; you’re the one who broke the terms of your probation; you’re the one who got involved in a situation that led to you being charged with assault in Washington, D.C.; and you’re the one who misbehaved in rehab and got kicked out — not once, but twice. You’re the one who didn’t take the opportunity offered at rehab to delve into your deep-seated anger management issues. These issues have plagued you for years and will not go away until you get to the root of your problem.
Should Chris Brown use his time in jail to rehabilitate?
Chris, you have two choices: You can moan and complain and waste hours away being angry in jail, or you can choose to read recommended books about anger management issues. You can join an AA group in jail, since you reportedly often like to party too much. And I bet you can even have the opportunity to work with a therapist or psychologist in prison, who can help you delve into the childhood issues that undoubtedly led to your troubled behavior.
Chris Brown — You’re In Denial About Your Anger Management Issues
Chris, you are in denial about your illness, according to addiction expert Steve Ornstein. He told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY that he believes that you suffer from “a mental disorder and uncontrollable anger outbursts.” Ornstein believes that you probably “tried to manage [your] illness with marijuana, but that didn’t help. Mental illness and addiction often go hand-in-hand. Chris admits he had a learning disability growing up, which may have been mistreated or have simply gone undetected. Untreated learning disabilities in children often lead to mental illnesses and addiction.“Ornstein also points out that there have been reports that you suffer from bipolar disorder. Plus, you yourself have talked about how terrified you were growing up with a stepfather who abused your mother. All of this means that you have serious issues that you must address, and for which you need to seek therapy.
But no therapist will be able to help you if you don’t admit that you have a problem.
Chris, you need to take responsibility for your own behavior. Addiction expert Ornstein thinks that jail can be the best thing for you because it’s like “forced rehab.” He also told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY that he has worked with many troubled young men like yourself who have turned their lives around completely.
Chris Brown — You Need To Take Responsibility For Your Bad Behavior
You’ve got to stop thinking that being a celebrity somehow allows you to bend the rules for what is normal, acceptable and legal behavior. You obviously thought that you were entitled to be treated differently than regular people and that you would never go to jail.Well, guess what — you were wrong about that.
So Chris, accept that your celebrity status does not entitle you to break the law. Instead of brooding, accept that you need help. My bet is that there is help, even in jail.
So blog readers, do you agree that Chris should use his time in jail wisely by trying to turn his life around? Let me know.
